What is the issue of man as God the knowledge of good and evil?

Gen 3:22-24:
22 And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,` --"
23 Jehovah God sendeth him forth from the garden of Eden to serve the ground from which he hath been taken;
24 yea, he casteth out the man, and causeth to dwell at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubs and the flame of the sword which is turning itself round to guard the way of the tree of life."

Gen 3:22 displayed on my phone screen when I slided open.

”Why God cast out the man who wants to be like Him?” was the question in my heart when I first read Genesis 3:22-24 many years back. "Why He don't want us like Him?”


Did you ever ask this question?  I did.

I thought God wants us like Him that He made us in His image.  Jesus even came,  born as man that through His Finished Work at the Cross, all who believe He is the Son of God, die for our sins, rose on the third day to give us new life, confess in the mouth He is Lord and Saviour receive the gift of sonship.

Did God change His mind at that point of time?

No.

The answer is in Gen 3:22   😅


The answer is in " … as one of Us."

Not wholly like God, but one of the Triune God, judging good and evil.

He want us to be like Him wholly not just the part of judging good and evil.

A transformed life to be like Christ have to receive in the correct order:

1. Jehovah is a Gracious Giver (Lord the Son, Love, Grace)
2. Jehovah is Salvation (The Holy Spirit, Heb 10:16 the covenant - written laws on the hearts, upon minds)
3. Jehovah is Just (God the Father)

Heb 10:16`This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, giving My laws on their hearts, and upon their minds I will write them,`"

Only in this order, we shall not fall into judgement.

Love come first.

This is why God has to cast out the man from Eden, reset the order.

Abba Father,
Thank You for showing me the importance of order, being obedient in Your Word.
I ask to give me the Word of Wisdom and Word of Knowledge to deliver Your Word in clarity and conciseness. Also be able to focus and speed up the work in Jesus Name Amen.

It costs the Father, His only Begotten Son, to send you this invitation to be His beloved child, that you be part of His Family, call Him 'Father'.
