Why books were mentioned in Acts 19:19?
Paul was disallowed to get involve in the stir, it is part of our growing process in our walk with God. When I was a new believer, I was not tuned to hear from the Holy Spirit, many things in the Bible I wasn't able to understand, I will look up commentaries if any verses in the Bible I couldn't understand. I thank God He led me to the correct way of reading His Word, always read from the Bible, if can't understand then look up others input. As time past, I hardly read from any other materials except the Bible itself. The Word is so rich and alive, I hardly had anytime for books other than the Bible. The above revelation that I share came three weeks ago. I was not at ease to share, worried many might feel offended but I fear God the more, no way I can run from what He had called me to do.
