Why proverbs not in Jesus' list?

Image
Why proverbs not in Jesus' list? YLT Luk 24:27:  and having begun from Moses, and from all the prophets, he was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about himself." YLT Acts 26: 22-23 :  22 `Having obtained, therefore, help from God, till this day, I have stood witnessing both to small and to great, saying nothing besides the things that both the prophets and Moses spake of as about to come, 23 that the Christ is to suffer, whether first by a rising from the dead, he is about to proclaim light to the people and to the nations.`" Why God did not include proverbs? It is the proverbs of Solomon. Proverb of Solomon's failure. Solomon failed even he was given wisdom and knowledge. All the words in the Bible is Truth, the book of proverbs too. Some books in the Bible are serving as warning, to guard our heart from wrong doer. All words are God breathe and important.  However, God wants us to focus on what mentioned in Moses an

Knowing is not enough to embrace the new lif

What does forty means in the Bible? And why thirty-nine?

Image
When the Bible uses the word 'forty', it usually refer to a complete phase of life, a phase of life come to an end, a completion, an end. Example, forty years in wilderness, forty [times] smitten.. A wrong-doer will have a sentence of forty [times] - full payment if found guilty.  The Judge (God, only God can judge as mentioned in earlier blog) will caused him to fall down and smitten in His presence, according to the wrong doing, by number (believe it is the number of times he is forgiven according to the wrong doing before judge him guilty; e.g. Solomon was given 3 chances to repent).  Once judge guilty, it is full sentence (smite forty times) YLT Deu 25:1-3: 1 `When there is a strife between men, and they have come nigh unto the judgment, and they have judged, and declared righteous the righteous, and declared wrong the wrong-doer, 2 then it hath come to pass, if the wrong-doer is to be smitten, that the judge hath caused him to fall down, and [one] hath smitten

How God value gifts?

Image
YLT 1Kin 3:5: "5 In Gibeon hath Jehovah appeared unto Solomon, in a dream of the night, and God saith, `Ask -- what do I give to thee?`" God appeared to us when we at peace, at rest, on sabbath because this is the time we are in a position to hear Him, to receive from Him. In any time, if we find no peace, pray in tongue, sing worship song to bring us into peace, into rest to hear Him, receive from Him. I will continue to share what's recorded in 1Kin 3 and 2Chr 1, what we can pickup about God's value, God's way. What would you ask for if God appeared to you and said, `Ask -- what do I give to thee?`? YLT 1Kin 3:9: "9 and Thou hast given to Thy servant an understanding heart, to judge Thy people, to discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this Thy great people?`" YLT 2Chr 1:10: "10 now, wisdom and knowledge give to me, and I go out before this people, and I come in, for who doth judge this Thy great people?`"

Why God dropped this verse in 2Chr 1?

Image
YLT 1Kin 3:10: "10 And the thing is good in the eyes of the Lord, that Solomon hath asked this thing," Why God dropped this verse in 2 Chr 1? What did the Lord see about Solomon that He dropped this verse in 2Chr 1? Let's see what had happened in 1Kings 3:3-15 and 2Chr 1:7-12 The Bible recorded a change in Solomon, his heart towards God after he has 'strengthen himself' over his kingdom. YLT 2Chr 1:1: "1 And strengthen himself doth Solomon son of David over his kingdom, and Jehovah his God [is] with him, and maketh him exceedingly great." In 1Kin 3, Solomon uses five verses to answer to God same question, `Ask -- what do I give to thee?` But, only three verses in 2Chr 1.  The words he used in 2Chr 1 sounds rude and demanding. He no longer call himself God's servant and call God his God. He too no longer recount how his father David walked before God, in truth and in righteousness, and in uprightn
